Little Silver Fire Police
The Little Silver Fire Police are members of the Fire Department charged
with providing safety and perimeter security for Fire and EMS first
responders at fire scenes, motor vehicle accidents and other emergency
situations.
We accomplish this by:

Directing, monitoring, and controlling the flow of vehicular and
pedestrian traffic at fires, automobile accidents and other
emergencies. Our goal is to permit all vehicles to quickly and safely
avoid the area with a minimum of inconvenience,

Assisting the Little Silver Fire and Police Department officials in
the protection of the integrity of property and evidence at fire and
accident scenes.

Providing traffic control during power outages, high volume traffic
situations, etc. as requested by the Police Department.

Responding to mutual aid calls from our neighboring communities.
Our training program is certified by the New Jersey State Division of
Fire Safety. All members are required by State and Fire Company
regulations to complete this course prior to assuming their duties.
On-going training is provided by drills, safety lectures and
performance critiques.
We understand that our services can cause frustration to the public
while performing our duties, as traffic often has to be detoured. We ask
that you understand and cooperate so that the life and property saving
activities can be conducted safely and quickly.

If you
have questions at an accident or fire scene, we will assist you, but
please pull out of the way of traffic. Do not block an intersection.

Proceed
slowly and cautiously when there is an emergency in the area.

Yield to
all emergency personnel with flashing blue lights to allow a quick
response to the fire or accident scene.
